Insects in Israel
This millimetre bug is on a cyclamen flower. I would appreciate an identification as it has eluded me so far!
The Levant Copper, Cetonia delegrangei (נחושתנית הלבנט), a rare species in Israel, found on Mount Hermon, the Upper Galilee, and the Judean Mountains, which is active in early summer. It is more common in the Lebanon.
A juvenile cricket (Gryllus spp) (צרצור) of unknown type. About 30 types of crickets are common in Israel, but it is very difficult to find information on them!
This pill bug, Armadillidium vulgare (הכדרורון הנפוץ), curls into a tight sphere when threatened. However once he realised the threat was artificial (for the camera) he stopped obliging!
Melitaea trivia, the lesser spotted fritillary (נימפית הבוצין)
A male jumper spider (עכביש קופץ); a member of the Salticidae or jumping spider family (קופצניים), this spider does not spin a web but builds a silken retreat in an elevated position such as the edge of the ceiling from which it makes hunting forays. It has very acute eyesight and approaches its target prey stealthily, leaping on it when close enough.
The desert locust (ארבה מדברי), Schistocerca gregaria, is found mainly in Africa, through Arabia and West Asia, and extending into parts of South Asia.

Longhorn beetle (יקרונית השורשים), Mesoprionus Besikanus.
Green aphid (כנימות עלה).
Oxythyrea cinctella (Schaum, 1841)―פרחית נקודתיים―is not common. It can be found occasionally in the Judaean mountains, upper Galilee and Hermon.
